| Our Mission:
To be a caring Christian fellowship — learning, living, and spreading the word of God. Our Beliefs: Baptists believe in the great doctrines of the church, such as the Bible as God's holy Word; belief in the triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the redemptive ministry of Jesus Christ; the believer's resurrection made possible by the resurrection of Jesus Christ; and the triumph of God over sin and death. We also believe Christ is the only mediator between God and human beings. Unlike many denominations, Baptists have no official creed to which all must conform. The Bible is our final authority in faith and conduct. Baptism should be administered only to those who believe and follow Christ. Baptism by immersion in water was taught in the Bible and symbolizes the death of sinful living and rising into a new life in Christ. While closely affiliated with American Baptist Churches of New Jersey, the Capital Association and American Baptist Churches USA, we follow the Baptist tradition of local church autonomy being responsible for its own preaching, worship, teaching, watchcare, finances, property and for outreach mission. Membership: Membership to the church is offered in three ways: • Baptism, We affirm and practice Believer's Baptism by Immersion. • Letter of Transfer, We affirm and accept the Baptism of other denominations. • Reaffirmation of Faith, For persons who come from other churches that do not provide letters of transfer.
